BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Friday, August 15, 1823 (approximately)
Continuing to use Conversation Book 39 as a note pad, Beethoven about now starts drafting a letter to Schindler that Karl is to write out as his own: “He considers it absolutely not worth the trouble to reproach you, as well as I know my uncle, this matter is settled as far as he is concerned.” [tr. Theodore Albrecht] This short letter draft is catalogued as Brandenburg Letter 1732.
