BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Saturday, November 8, 1823
The S.A. Steiner & Co. music publishing firm announces at p. 1044 of today’s Wiener Zeitung the publication of the score of the opera Euryanthe by Carl Maria von Weber, in vocal score with piano accompaniment, and as a piano solo. The Overture by itself is available for piano solo or piano four hands. The full opera for piano four hands will be available in a few days, as well as in arrangement for violin or flute.
Our next update will be November 11th; Karl apparently does not visit his uncle, probably since he is getting settled in after his first week of university. Ludwig presumably continues working on the Finale of the Ninth Symphony.
