BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Thursday, November 27, 1823

Beethoven appears to have no visitors today, and Nephew Karl, apparently still angry about their argument yesterday, does not come for dinner as he usually does on Thursdays. At least this gives Beethoven some uninterrupted time to work on the Finale to the Ninth Symphony, which is progressing slowly.
