The “Minutes of March 2 Meeting” that unpaid assistant Anton Schindler writes out, probably after Beethoven’s death, regarding planning of the Akademie concert, are a clumsy forgery meant to make Schindler look like a more important participant in the planning than he actually was. As we will see in a few days, Schuppanzigh and others will meet with Beethoven on March 7 to make these plans–a meeting to which Schindler was rather pointedly not invited.
