BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Tuesday, October 7, 1823
The Birmingham, England Grand Music Festival, for the benefit of the general hospital begins today, and runs through Friday, October 10. Many of the participants are the same as for the York Musical Festival two weeks earlier, with Thomas Greatorex again being in charge of conducting the whole.
