BEETHOVEN 200 YEARS AGO TODAY: Wednesday, November 12, 1823 (approximately)

Beethoven makes a shopping list today. He needs nails, blotting paper and sugar. Also, he needs a small machine for the iron coffee maker.

He then appears to visit a craftsman, probably about the broken coffee maker. Unfortunately, the craftsman cannot repair it. He suggests instead that Franz Rosini, the barometer maker in the Wallnerstrasse could do it, or he might be willing to exchange it for a different one. [Beethoven clearly could not be long without his coffee.]
