This short draft in D contains only the violin part and a fragment of the cello part. Although the jig-like 6/8 character is retained in the final version, the thematic material is quite different. This sketch comes from page 3 of the Grasnick 1 sketchbook, held by the Staatsbibliothek Preussischer Kutlurbesitz in Berlin.
