Draft for the beginning of Quartet op. 18 nr. 2, Biamonti 188 (1798)

This short draft for the second op. 18 quartet contains several parts in addition to the first violin part. While the final version is very different indeed, some of the rhythms of the sketch can still be heard in it, as well as the 32nd note motif. This sketch comes from page 9 of the Grasnick 1 sketchbook, held by the Staatsbibliothek Preussischer Kutlurbesitz in Berlin.
