Draft of a Presto-Rondo for String Quartet, Biamonti 222 (1800)
Two fragments, apparently for the same movement, for a Rondo at Presto tempo are found at page 65 of the Landsberg 7 sketchbook. The first chunk, running about 16 bars, seems to be for the first and second violins of a quartet, while the second, 9 bars in length, is specifically denoted as being for Viola and Violoncello. Since there is other sketch material for the quartet op. 18 nr. 1 located nearby, it is not unreasonable to conclude that these are abandoned ideas for a quartet in this set. Biamonti: 222
