Two cues in G and C and Draft in G, Biamonti 239 (1800) These sketches are found on page 103 of the Landsberg 7 sketchbook held by the Berlin Staatsbibliothek. They may be related ideas for a draft for the Pastoral movement of the ballet The Creatures of Prometheus op. 43. The lengthier third chunk has also been related to the first movement of the piano sonata op. 27 nr. 1. It does bear a strong resemblance to the 6/8 Allegro in C major found at bars 36 through 62, especially the first part. Beethoven does not, in any event, label the sketches on this page, so it's not entirely clear which work they are intended for. The first cue is a chunk of four bars in G (though no key signature is expressly noted for any of the three sketches). This cue is varied and made more interesting in the longer draft farther down the page, running 22 bars. Between them is a second cue in the key of C totalling 8 bars in 3/8 time. Two notes have been supplied that appear to be missing in the sketch, namely the last note (A) in bar 42 of the midi and the first note (G) in bar 44 of the midi.
