Fragment in G, Biamonti 720 (1819-1820)

This little piece for piano is mostly complete. It features a Da Capo indicated by Beethoven; the final tonic note has been added editorially.

The composition appears in the pocket sketchbook BH 107, held by the Beethovenhaus in Bonn. It appears on page 30, preceded and followed by sketches for the Gloria from the Missa Solemnis, op. 123. The two pages immediately before contains the canon Hess 300, Liebe mich, werther Weissenbach. Published in 1952 by the Beethovenhaus, the piece has never been recorded.
