Minuet and Trio in B Major/B minor, Gardi 13 (1792-1795)

Like the Minuet in G, Gardi 12, this minuet is written in piano score but appears to be written for two violins and bass, which Beethoven frequently used as a chamber arrangement for his dance sets in the 1790s, such as the 12 Minuets WoO 7 and 12 Contredanses WoO 8 dating from 1795. While the trio of this minuet is a bit sketchy, it seems to be more or less complete as it stands. The minuet is found on the verso (reverse) of folio 6 of autograph 28, the Fischhof Miscellany held by the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin, as transcribed by Douglas Johnson in his doctoral dissertation.
