Beethoven continues to use the Conversation Book 39 as a memorandum/shopping list.

• What Schlemmer copied must be paid for. [The same sentiment was noted in yesterday’s update.]
• Kirchhoffer. [Franz Kirchhoffer, who advised Beethoven on business affairs and also acted as a go-between for Beethoven and Ferdinand Ries in London.]
• Hessian and Hessen-Darmstadt embassy. [This is no doubt to check on whether the Missa Solemnis solicitation has been approved.]
• Letter and other paper.
• Obladen and sealing wax. [Oblaten are thin unleavened wafers; the term was also used by Beethoven for paper disks used to seal letters.]
